Get into bike fun
With MTBs across pastures and forestry paths or gently through the valley. We lend you mountain bikes free of charge! You are also welcome to explore our alpine region with e-bikes (for a fee). Use the guided bike tours in our alpine region to get to know South Tyrol better.
Tip: From the Mühlbach train station, the Pustertal cycle path leads you via Bruneck to Lienz in Austria - this easy cycle tour is ideal for families!

Culture & history
While travelling through South Tyrol, enjoy dramatic views of 800 forts, castles and stately residences. A visit to the Franzensfeste fortress (Festung Franzensfeste) or to the castle Rodenegg is impressive.

When white-water rafting in the Puster Valley, certified rafts are used. You gain experience with the white-water on high-volume rivers, and manage waves together with other adventurers in a boot guided by an experienced raft guide.

Paved alleys, car-free pedestrian zones, Italian fashion and cosy cafés invite visitors to shop till they drop in South Tyrol’s cities. In addition to Bolzano/Bozen, South Tyrol's capital city, the next largest cities of Brunico/Bruneck, Bressanone/Brixen, Chiusa/Klausen and Vipiteno/Sterzing are worthwhile destinations for fashion shopping, specialist foods and souvenirs. In the many shops in the heart of Mühlbach (our neighboring place) everyone will find a gift for the loved ones at home. Subsequently, you can enjoy the multifaceted village live having a glass of wine or a Cappuccino on one of the sun terraces of the cosy cafes.
